Introduced to mark Buick's 50th anniversary the Roadmaster Skylark was first made available in 1953 and was the first Buick to feature a V8 and a 12 volt electrical system. The 4th generation Skylarks were sold from 1968 1972 and represented significant changes form the previous generations. This particular example originally came with a 350 ci small block that has been replaced with a much more powerful 455 ci big block. The block was professionally rebuilt at the beginning of 2012 and has been driven less than 1,000 miles since. During its rebuild it was bored to a 462 and is estimated to produce 400 hp. Power is put to the 10 bolt posi rear end (w/ 3:42 gears) via a crisp shifting Turbo 400 tranny and she sounds just plain nasty ripping through her dual 2 performance exhaust system. The current owner was planning to make it into a GS Stage I convertible but instead only used it as a daily driver occasionally. The body is in overall good shape and would need minimal work to be prepped for paint. The interior and top and are in average condition which is perfect for a driver. Whether you are looking for a good candidate for a restoration or just a cool old convertible with some extra horse power this is the perfect car. Either way, we have priced this car to sell as quick as it moves so you better call with your offer before its too late! For more pictures and a video of the engine visit
